Dan
Sinton (Class of 1969) is awarded the MBE. (June 2011)
Former PC pupil Dan Sinton (Class of 69) has been
awarded the MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for public service.
He is an Eminent Fellow and immediate past Chairman of the Energy Institute, Northern Ireland Branch. He has worked within the Civil Service for over 38 years and for much of that time has been involved with energy, predominantly energy efficiency. He currently works within the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment in the area of sustainable energy policy. Dan, who attended the Preparatory school before moving on to the Senior school at Portadown College, is a Governor and past Chairman of Friends’ School, Lisburn.
